Steyr Arms and Manners worked together to create a stock option to meet the needs of Law Enforcement and Precision Shooters, ideal for the Steyr Pro THB series. The end result was the blend of Austrian finesse and American ingenuity. The new stock features a Manner’s Mini Chassis System that offers supreme repeatability and solid aluminum trigger guard for durability. The magwell is built into the chassis and offers a solid lock up for magazines and smooth loading. There is also a built-in adjustable comb and adjustable length of pull with Manner’s spacer system. Two QD sling swivel cups and a front mounted picatinny rail for a bipod come standard. This Stock is ideal for those looking for enhanced features to improve comfort. This package price does NOT include the scope.
As with all Steyr bolt-action rifles, we guarantee 1MOA or less. This model comes with green ventilated stock that resists weather and rough use, as well as features removable spacers to adjust length of pull. The barrel comes with 5/8x24 right-hand thread and our patented Mannox finish with a twist rate of 1:8. This rifle weighs 9.3 lbs with a barrel length of 26.6", and an overall length of 45.6". By default this rifle comes with the classic butterknife handle, but for $100 more get the tactical bolt knob.
As with other high-performance long-guns offered by Steyr, the 6.5 Creedmoor features the Safe Bolt System (SBS), a unique 2+1 safety function that offers 3 settings operated by a wheel switch on the tang of the stock. The fire mode (safety off) is indicated by a red dot; the first level of safe mode disables the firing mechanism and the second level of safe serves to lock the bolt down against the stock and also features a press-to-release tab that locks the SBS switch in the safe position.
Another feature is the 2-stage magazine securing mechanism that uses a first stage that locks the magazine in but allows the bolt to be operated while not engaging and chambering the rounds in the magazine, thereby providing the operator with the option of loading individual rounds by hand while maintaining a full magazine at the ready. One more tap to the bottom of the magazine then seats it in the second stage, which is ready for auto-loading.
