Inside Sales

The Steyr Arms USA team is seeking a capable inside sales person to support the Steyr Arms sales team at our Bessemer, AL facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Source new sales for dealers opportunities through inbound lead follow-up (CRM) and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Understand Steyr Dealer needs and requirements
  • Full comprehension of the internal sales programs and Steyr product knowledge
  • Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proven inside sales experience (experience selling to firearms dealers is preferred)
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Experience working with CRM system (Zoho preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Strong computer skills within the Windows operating systems and spreadsheet software (ex. Microsoft Office)
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction
  • Knowledge of firearms desired
  • Firearms industry experience a plus

Warehousing Manager

The Steyr Arms USA team is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to support our company’s warehouse operations at our Bessemer, AL facility. You will oversee warehouse operations and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements:

  • Firearms shipping and warehousing experience desired
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 2+ years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory role
  • Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
  • Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system
  • Team player with organizational skills
  • Ability to lift or move heavy products

Warehousing Associate

The Steyr Arms USA team is looking for a capable Warehouse Associate to support our company’s warehouse operations at our Bessemer, AL facility. You will receive, input, sort, load and unload products and you will perform various warehouse activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Process, package and ship orders accurately
  • Organize stocks and maintain inventory
  • Inspect products for defects and damages
  • Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments
  • Organize warehouse space
  • Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately
  • Check, verify and fill customer invoices
  • Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
  • Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized daily

Requirements:

  • Firearms shipping and warehousing experience is preferred
  • Proven warehouse experience

Visual Marketing Assistant

The Steyr Arms USA team is seeking a creative, driven individual to assist with visual marketing and in-office duties at our Bessemer, AL facility.  This is an entry-level position, ideal for college graduates with little to no professional experience. The best candidates will have a basic understanding of design software and social media management. A working knowledge of Adobe design programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as the Mac OS is a requirement for this position. Daily tasks will include learning from and assisting the Marketing Director with digital and print campaigns, including ad design, website updates, photo editing, newsletters, and social media management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Working knowledge of Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator); InDesign is a plus
  • Strong computer skills, including Mac and PC platforms
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (ex. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage and create content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube)
  • Basic working knowledge of print production
  • Ability to edit and maintain a website content management system (Magento knowledge is a plus)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter and team player
  • Very organized; Ability to use team collaboration programs such as Trello and Slack
  • Ability to learn new skills and information quickly
  • Graphic design and typography skills are a plus
  • Ability to create newsletter campaigns is a plus (ex. Mailchimp, Campaigner)
  • Video filming and editing skills are a plus

Receptionist

The Steyr Arms USA team is seeking an organized and friendly Receptionist to support our company’s office operations at our Bessemer, AL facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcomes visitors by greeting them both in person and on the phone in a positive, friendly manner
  • Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook
  • Directs calls to other members of the customer service or sales team as necessary
  • Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed, including data entry and filing
