Condition of participation
to participate in the event STEYR Virtual Challenge from 16 to 18 October 2020
The undersigned participant acknowledges that he or she is attending the event at his own risk. The participation is exposed to risks already by reason of the nature of the event. The participant undertakes to follow without restrictions any and all instructions of the organiser or of the persons madee known by the organiser to that end. The participant undertakes to adapt his/her participation to both his/her own abilities and the the actual situation on site while exercising due care for himself/herself and for others in any case.
The participant confirms that he/she is in a state of health suitable for participating in the event and, in particular, no recent injuries exist and that he/she has sufficient health insurance cover. The participant acknowledges that any participation under alcohol, addictive drug and/or prescription drug abuse shall be prohibited.
The participant shall hence waive any liability of the organiser and of the persons engaged by the organiser in the context of the event for its realisation and of other vicarious agents for any damage incurred by the participant to his/her person or to the person of third parties or to his/her assets/things or to the assets/things of a third party as a result of a damaging event during or in connection with the event. Without prejudice to such waiver, any liability of the organiser and of the persons engaged by the organiser in the context of the event for its realisation and of other vicarious agents shall be limited to gross negligence and wilful intent in any case. The participant is aware of the risks of participation and shall act at his/her own risk. Any liability for damage to the participant’s property and/or assets or damage to third parties of any kind whatsoever that was caused by the participant shall equally be excluded. Where the participant (jointly) causes or can be held (jointly) accountable for claims of third parties, in particular from the damages title, the participant shall entirely indemnify and hold the organiser and the persons engaged by the organiser in the context of the event for its realisation and other vicarious agents harmless from and against any claim asserted by the aggrieved third party.
The participant confirms that all data was stated truthfully. In case of any kind of fraud (inaccurate data, multiple shooting attempts, wrong distance, etc.), the participant will be disqualified from the challenge.
The participation in the evaluation can be ensured only where all conditions of participation (results, targets, team photos) were uploaded on the online platform on time (by Mo., 19 October, 09:00 CET). In case of individual missing documents, the participant shall be disqualified from the evaluation/challenge.
The participant consents to the publication of the material sent to the organiser.
The organiser shall not cover any costs for the use of the tracking app (e.g. Runtastic, Garmin, etc.). The installation and handling of the app shall be at the participant’s personal responsibility.
The organiser shall not cover any costs for the printing of the PDF targets.
The organiser shall not assume any warranty for the free participation if the participant cannot download or upload the necessary documents due to technical problems/difficulties and, as a result, cannot participate in the event. Any damages shall likewise be excluded. The participant shall himself/herself be responsible for verifying prior to the registration for participation in the event and for ensuring at least until the participation in the event the presence of the technical prerequisites.
The organizer will cover the costs of shipping (running shirt, certificate, medal).
All participants making an express registration by 11 September shall receive their running shirts already prior to the 2020 Virtual Steyr Challenge. All participants registering after said date shall receive them after the 2020 Virtual Steyr Challenge.
The organiser shall not assume any warranty if it is not possible to participate in the event due to technical problems/difficulties. Any damages shall likewise be excluded.
Only persons having completed their 18th year of age shall be allowed to participate in the challenge.
Austrian law shall apply exclusively, excluding its conflict of law rules. Place of jurisdiction shall be 1010 Vienna.
By clicking on the button, the participant shall confirm that he/she has read and understood the preceding conditions and accepts them under the awareness of all hazards and risks in connection with the participation in the event which may sometimes result in damage to assets / things or body.
