Withdrawal by means of express written declaration
All customers are entitled to withdraw from the concluded contract by sending a written declaration of withdrawal without indication of reasons within 14 days after receipt of the goods. It suffices if the declaration of withdrawal is sent within this period (the date of the postal receipt is decisive). In this case the customer is obliged to verifiably return the goods without delay. The customer is liable for the costs (postal charges) of returning the goods. If the goods have been used and/or damaged, the customer is obliged to pay the seller an appropriate sum for the use and appropriate compensation for the damage incurred – at the most the value of the goods. Withdrawal by the simple return of the goods
The customer can also exercise his/her right of withdrawal by simply verifiably returning the goods to the seller within 14 days after receipt without a written declaration of withdrawal. In this case verifiable timely sending of the goods is sufficient for observing the deadline period. The condition for exercising this form of the right of withdrawal by simple return of the goods, is that the goods are not damaged or used and that the return package is sufficiently stamped. The seller is only liable for the costs of returning the goods (postal charges) in the case of incorrect or defective delivery.
The customer bears both the risk and proof of the return. In the event of a withdrawal on the part of the customer (by means of express declaration or simple return of the goods), the seller shall refund the purchase price received without delay – shipping costs will not be reimbursed. The amount shall be credited to the customer’s account in the case of an order placed on open account.
Information on exceptions from the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to the supply of goods made to the consumer’s specifications or which are obviously tailored to personal requirements or the supply of sealed audio or video recordings or software which were unsealed by you or to digital goods which have been downloaded from the Internet (e.g. e-books).
Information on returns
The procedures indicated in this section (“Information on returns”) do not constitute a precondition for the effective exercising of the above-mentioned right of withdrawal.
Before returning goods customers are requested to notify the seller of the return (by email to office@steyr-arms.com), for notification of the return. This will enable the fastest possible allocation of the products on the part of the seller.
Customers are requested to return the goods to the seller as a post-paid package and to keep the postal receipt. On request the seller shall reimburse the customer for the postal charges in advance, insofar the customer him/herself is not liable for said costs.
Customers are requested to prevent any damage or soiling of the goods. As far as possible the goods should be returned to the seller in the original packaging together with all accessories. If the customer no longer has the original packaging, he/she should use another suitable type packaging to ensure adequate protection against damage during transport and to avoid any claims for damages due to damage caused by defective packaging.
